About us
Who we are
Christian has been a real estate agent and broker in Seattle for more than twenty years, and now runs The Awesome Nossum Group, our real estate team. Shannon is a former small-business and real estate attorney — these days she brings that background to everything we build together, from deal structures to the fine print nobody else wants to read.
We invest in real estate around the Seattle metro area, and we're currently house-hacking a triplex in Maui. We also host The Awesome In Seattle Podcast together, and in 2025 we turned up on A&E's Million Dollar Zombie Flips as flipping partners to James Dainard (more on that below).
Real estate investor education has been a big part of our community life: Shannon co-hosted the Seattle-area investor meetup Real Estate @ Work with Leka Devatha for three years, and we've both spoken on plenty of local investor panels, including Real Estate @ Work and WAREI (Washington Real Estate Investors) in-person meetups.
The rest of the time we're raising three kids and traveling with them — mostly on credit-card points. It's a running family experiment in seeing the world for (almost) free, and so far the kids are winning.
